Rooms and Tablet App
🔐 The Room Control App allows hotel guests or staff to control in-room features (e.g., lighting, climate, entertainment) via a tablet. To access this control center, a unique room code must be generated and used to authenticate the tablet.
* Who Can Generate Room Codes?
Only managers or staff members with manage room tokens permissions can generate and manage room codes.
🔐 Steps to Generate a Room Code

Log in to the hotel management dashboard.

From the sidebar, click on "Rooms" to access the list of all hotel rooms.

Use the available tools on the rooms table to:

Search for specific rooms by name or number.

Show or hide columns to customize the table view.

Navigate through pages using pagination controls at the bottom.

In the row of the desired room, click the "More" icon (three vertical dots).

From the dropdown menu, select "Room Code".

A popup will open, click the "Generate" button to create a new, unique room code.

Click the "Copy" icon to copy the generated code to your clipboard.

💻 Logging in on the Room Tablet

On the in-room tablet, open the Room Control App by visiting:
https://{guest-app}/room-control-center -
Paste the copied room code into the login input.

Tap the "Login" button.

You’ll now be authenticated and logged in to the Room Control Center, with full access to the room’s smart device controls and guest services.

🔤 Choosing your preferred language
You can select and set the app language using the language dropdown on the side.

🛋️ Controlling Smart Devices Across Room Areas
The Room Control App offers intuitive control over various smart devices within a hotel room. Whether it's lighting, air conditioning, or privacy settings, guests and staff can manage devices seamlessly across different subareas or zones.
Smart Device Controls Overview

Control the Room Door Lock On the Overview page, you can slide the lock toggle to lock or unlock the room door remotely.

Control the Room Scene/Mode. You can select a scene from the displayed options to control multiple lights at once.

Set Room Status to “Do Not Disturb” A quick toggle is available on the Overview page to set the room status to Do Not Disturb, signaling staff to avoid interruptions.

Navigate Between Room Subareas

Use the navigation bar at the top to switch between different subareas (e.g., Bedroom, Bathroom, Living Area).

Basic Device Controls In each area, you’ll see interactive cards for smart devices:

Turn lights or AC on/off

Open or close curtains and blinds

Advanced Light Controls

Some lights offer extended settings. Turning on a light will display more controls that allow you to:

Change light color

Dim or enhance the light intensity

Air Conditioning Settings

Turning on the AC will allow you to:

Adjust the temperature

Set modes (cool, heat, fan, etc.)

Control fan speed (if available)

💬 Chat with your hosts & request services
You can chat with the staff by clicking on the Chat button in the side navigation menu.

You can also request services by clicking on the services boxes placed above the text area. A popup will appear with a form where you can set the date and time you prefer.


The service you request will appear in the chat, you can see the status and you can edit or cancel a pending request using the buttons in the request card.

🔄 Regenerating or Deleting Room Codes (Tablet Logout & Re-authentication)
This process allows staff to log out a tablet from the Room Control App, re authenticate it with a new code, or delete an existing room token. It's useful when preparing a room for a new guest or revoking access from a previously authenticated device.
How to Regenerate or Delete a Room Token:

Access the Room Code Menu Follow the same steps described earlier to navigate to the Rooms list view, then click the "More" icon on the desired room and select "Room Code".

Regenerate the Room Code

Click the "Regenerate" button.

A new code will be generated, and the current tablet session will remain active for 15 minutes before automatically logging out.

The tablet can then be re-authenticated using the new code.

Delete the Room Code

Click the "Delete" button to invalidate the existing code.

The Room Control App on the tablet will automatically log out after 15 minutes.

This ensures the room is secure and no longer accessible through the previously used code.

Go back to the tablet app and you will be redirected to the login screen
Tablet App Service Menus
You can optionally display a set of service menus to your guests directly inside the tablet app. This way, guests can conveniently browse your menus without leaving the app. To get started with this feature, first ensure your account has sufficient permissions. In this section of the guide, it is assumed that you are using an admin account with access to all features and that you're already logged into the tablet app.
Upload Service Menus

Click on Profile > Settings > GMS

Select "Tablet Config" from the list of available options

Select a property location from the dropdown

Click on "New Pdf Menu" to upload a new service menu in PDF format

Fill out the required fields:
- Choose a service menu name (e.g., "Breakfast Menu")
- Upload the PDF menu
- Upload an image to be displayed in the tablet app
View Service Menus
Once you've uploaded at least one PDF menu, you should be able to immediately view the "Service Menu" section in the tablet app. Guests can click on the tiles representing each menu to view the PDF file.
